We are surrounded by loads of different color combinations: while some are beautiful others are admirably ugly. It is from this viewpoint that I started this project. By capturing all the different color combinations I could find in my daily life I found a way to bring together my love for photography and color combinations. This resulted in a book consisting out of two different parts.
Part one is a paper book, showing a clean, minimalistic overview of the color combinations I captured in my environment.
Part two is a textile samples book, showing experiments and collages on textiles using the photographs I made at the start of this process.
Both parts reinforce each other, making this 'my dictionary of color combinations'.
